Saints star Clark ruled out for rest of season
The flanker suffered the initial injury in a pre-season win at Wasps back in September and later aggravated it in training, meaning he had to go under the knife in November.
Clark was initially expected to be out for a couple of months, but he has been unable to play a competitive game this season.

Hide AdAnd his campaign is now over, with Saints boss Jim Mallinder confirming the player had an operation on Monday.
“Unfortunately Calum Clark has had a bit of a setback with his shoulder injury,” Mallinder said.
“He’s had to go under the knife on Monday, so unfortunately he’ll be out for the rest of the season.
“It’s a blow for us and I feel sorry for Calum because it’s just been one of those years really.

Hide Ad“He’s worked his way back to fitness and we were hoping he’d be a week or two off being fit but it just wasn’t going right so unfortunately he’s had to go back in.
“It’s opportunities for other people. We’ve seen Teimana Harrison playing a number of games and working on different parts of his game.
“He’s been fantastic in terms of attack, carrying and defensively as well.”
