Cobblers attacker Hoskins on course for a pre-season return
Hoskins suffered the injury in an accident in training in the week building up to Edinburgh’s first game in charge at Milton Keynes Dons, and underwent surgery the following week.
The former Southampton and Yeovil men is working hard on his rehabilitation, and Edinburgh revealed this week that he is aiming to be fit enough to take a full part in the summer’s pre-season programme.

“You always have to be mindful and have to be conscious of setbacks with this kind of surgery, but so far so so good.
“Credit to the medical side, they have taken great care of him, and I am really pleased with Sammy.
“He is on course for pre-season, which is great, and that is a really good goal for him.”

Hide AdHoskins, who is already under contract for next season, is one of only three Cobblers players currrently in the treatment room, following Brendan Moloney’s return to playing action with the reserves this week.
The others undergoing rehab are striker Alex Revell, who is hoping to be back in training next week after recovering from his calf muscle strain, and Gaby Zakuani, who suffered a hamstring injury in last Saturday’s 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.
The club is still awaiting confirmation of how serious the injury is to the 30-year-old central defender, with a scan that was scheduled for Tuesday being pushed back to Wednesday afternoon.
Edinburgh has been delighted with the work done by the Cobblers’ medical staff, and in particular head physio Anders Braastad and conditioning coach Pablo Garcia.

“We are disappointed with a recurrence of the injury with Gaby, but otherwise it is a real positive at the minute as far as the medical side of things goes.
“That is credit to Anders and Pablo and the work they do.
“They are top guys, and I have been delighted with the work they have done so far.”
