BREAKING: Cobblers swoop for Forest Green captain and wing-back
Cobblers have completed the signing of left-sided player Joseph Mills on a free transfer from Forest Green Rovers.
The ex-Forest Green Rovers skipper rejected new terms with the New Lawn club to make the move to the PTS Academy Stadium.

Hide AdThe former England U18 international has signed a two-year deal and can play anywhere down the left side, including at wing-back. He becomes Town's third arrival this summer, following midfielder Christopher Missilou and goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell.
The 30-year-old, younger brother of former Rovers team-mate Matt Mills, racked up an impressive eight goals and six assists in his 28 appearances for League Two side Forest Green Rovers last season.
Mills started his career as a trainee at Southampton, making 34 appearances for the club, before loan spells at Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers.
He then signed permanent deals with Reading and Burnley but continued to play the majority of his football out on loan, registering 27 League One appearances during 2013/14 on loan at Oldham Athletic and Shrewsbury Town.

Hide AdMills also spent two years down under playing for Australian side Perth Glory before returning to England in 2018 when he signed for Forest Green. He scored five goals in 45 appearances in 2018/19 before an even more impressive 2019/20 campaign.
