VIDEO: youngsters have cracking fun at Daventry Country Park Easter egg hunt
Under 5s had great fun looking for Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies in the play area, while older children ran around the park hunting for clues on the Eggsplorer trail.
There was face painting and fun games for children, including inflatables from Crazy Horses and activities offered by the RSPB, the Wildlife Trust Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, and Action for Children.

Hide AdThe free event was organised by Daventry District Council and the Friends of Daventry Country Park and supported by main sponsor Cummins as well as Daventry Town Council.
Katie Jones, Customer Services Manager at Daventry District Council, said: “The Easter egg hunt has become a real tradition at it was great to see so many families supporting it once again.
“Younger children loved hunting out the chocolates in among the play equipment, while the older children had great fun running around hunting for clues on the Eggsplorer trail.
“I’d like to thank everyone who supported the event, including sponsors Cummins, Daventry Town Council and the Friends of Daventry Country Park.”

Hide AdThe event also featured an Easter bonnet competition judged by Daventry’s Deputy Mayor, Councillor Ron Fox.
He said: “There was an excellent turnout. There were 33 bonnets to judge and it was really difficult to decide because they were all very well made.”
