The pumps and the forecourt have been surrounded by barriers since Sunday (September 20) to allow workers to compete the job and stop customers driving in.
A spokesman for Tesco said: "The petrol filling station at Northampton South Extra is closed until the October 2 for planned maintenance to replace the overhead gantry."
The petrol station will reopen next Friday (October 2). In the meantime customers can use the nearest Tesco petrol station at Weston Favell Shopping Centre.
