Northampton sports club given £1,000 grant by housing developer to help during coronavirus pandemic
A Northampton sports club has received a £1,000 grant from a housing developer to help it during the coronavirus pandemic.
Persimmon Homes Midlands selected Northampton Water Polo Club to receive the donation through its Community Champions scheme.

Hide AdThe match-funding initiative seeks to support grassroots groups and charities in areas where the company is building.
Sales director Claire Dearsley said: “At a time like this, when voluntary groups, sports clubs and charities are not able to hold their usual fundraising events, we are proud to help worthy local causes.
“We are always keen to support clubs like Northampton Water Polo Club, that encourage healthy, active lifestyles.”
Established in 2012, Northampton Water Polo Club encourages local young people to develop sport as an integral part of their physical, mental and social wellbeing.

Hide AdThe club is fundraising to cover minibus repairs, league fees and coaching courses.
