There have been so many stories of new found friendships among neighbours since the pandemic forced us all to stay at home on March 23, 2020.
Those who didn't know their neighbours to wave to before 2020 have probably ended up sharing VE Day celebrations and a drink (or two) in the street with them in the summer months while the country was experiencing its first lockdown.
Some of these nominated streets have demonstrated the very best of community spirit.
They have been highlighted for the constant kindness on display when it was needed the most, the heaps of generosity shown for others when our lives were changed at short notice and making eachother smile again with makeshift cinemas and socially distanced parties.

1. Woodland Avenue, Northampton
Jo Tucker said: "Woodland Avenue has been enjoying socially distanced coffee, Friday night wine, bingo, quizzes, street parties, musical afternoons, birthday celebrations etc... all over lockdown (when allowed). A brilliant community."
2. Byron Street, Kettering
Heather Korbey said: "Byron Street in Northampton has a great mix of people, we talk and know our neighbours and have become more united in the last year. Definitely having a street party when we can."
3. Augusta Avenue, Northampton
Ruby Webb said: "In Augusta Avenue we’ve had a right laugh. We celebrated our neighbours 20 year anniversary during Covid and we put up loads of bunting to make their day special during lockdown. Honestly I wouldn’t change this lockdown for anything because we wouldn’t have got so close with our neighbours."
4. Langdale, Desborough
Pauline Bull said: "It’s always been a lovely street but through Covid everyone has offered help if people needed it and they have asked others if they needed any shopping when they had their food delivery."
