Northampton schoolgirl Ellie Robinson wins her second medal of the Paralympics
She just edged a 100 metres freestyle bronze, beating her hero Ellie Simmonds and bagging a new British record.
Speaking to Channel 4, she said: “I didn’t expect to medal in the 100m free, I knew it was my last race and just gave it my all. It’s going to be so weird [going back to Northampton high School], I can’t imagine.”

Hide AdNorthamptonshire Sport, which helped talent-spot the teenager was among the first to show its joy at her reaching the podium for the second time of the Games.
