Family thank Northampton girl whose '˜dear world, happy Tuesday' message attached to a balloon made their day
Amy Hamilton-Machell got n touch with the Chronicle & Echo this week to say thanks to the youngster who sent a helium balloon drifting across the Home Counties attached with the message "Dear world, happy Tuesday."
The note is signed by Mia Rose from Northampton and was tied to a balloon printed with the message "Welcome Home!"

Hide AdMiss Hamilton-Machel, 17, found the balloon in her family's stable yard in Great Amwell, Hertfordshire.
She said: "I wanted to let the little girl know that her balloon didn't quite get around the world but it made us all smile on this rather cold Thursday afternoon so thank you.
"I'm not sure whether you would be able to find out who the little girl was but I would just love for her to know that it got somewhere."
Miss Hamilton-Machell, a college student in Hertfordshire, said the family-of-three found the balloon hanging from a tree late on Thursday.

Hide AdIn travelling south-east the message must have travelled over Milton Keynes and Luton on its way to the small Hertfordshire village.
