Trial date set for man accused of stalking woman while both were staying at two Northampton 'lockdown hotels'

A man accused of stalking a woman during the Covid-19 lockdown while the two were staying at separate Northampton hotels has appeared in court.
Vincent Curran, 25, of no fixed abode, was reportedly being housed at the Travelodge on Gold Street in April when he allegedly began stalking and using fear of violence against a woman staying at another Northampton hotel.

Hide AdBoth the Travellodge in Gold Street and the other hotel have been used during the lockdown as accommodation for the town's rough sleepers.
In early-April, Curran allegedly stalked the woman and sent threatening text messages and persistently called her with threatening messages. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
At Northampton Magistrate's Court today (June 1), Curran was remanded into custody ahead of his trial on Wednesday (June 3).
