Bikers assault driver after chase through Northampton streets ends near police station

Three bikers chased a motorist through Northampton before attacking him and his car near Campbell Square police station on Easter Sunday.
Officers say the incident kicked-off when the driver challenged motorcyclists who were doing wheelies on the highway.

Hide AdHe was chased through Moulton and Kingsthorpe into the town centre before finally being caught outside Campbell Square where he was hit and his car windscreen smashed.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "This happened on Sunday, April 12, at about 1.30pm when a man in a car challenged three motorcycle riders who were pulling wheelies in traffic.
"All the suspects were men riding high-powered motorcycles.
"They chased the driver through the Moulton and Kingsthorpe areas before he stopped outside Campbell Square. They then attacked him by hitting him and smashing the windscreen of his car before making off towards Wellingborough Road.
"One of the riders was riding a blue and white motorcycle and was wearing dark clothing and a blue and white helmet. A second rider was on a red and white motorcycle, wearing dark clothing and a black helmet. The third was on a silver motorcycle and wearing a white t-shirt, grey bottoms and a blue helmet.
